Offertory – September 17, 2017

Morning Service – My offertory selection for the morning service is “I Surrender All” by JW Van Deventer and WS Weeden (this arrangement by Phillip Keveren © 2003 Hal Leonard Corporation). This arrangement is to be played “with deep conviction, freely.” The line that speaks to me the most (because it convicts me the most) is “make me, Savior, wholly Thine”. Not just partly, but wholly. That means ALL of me, ALL of the time, in EVERY circumstance. I can only do that with Him and His help. Here are the lyrics:

All to Jesus I surrender, All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him, In His presence daily live.

Refrain:
I surrender all, I surrender all;
All to Thee, my blessed Savior, I surrender all.

All to Jesus I surrender, Humbly at His feet I bow;
Worldly pleasures all forsaken, Take me, Jesus, take me now. (refrain)

All to Jesus I surrender, Make me, Savior, wholly Thine;
Let me feel the Holy Spirit, Truly know that Thou art mine. (refrain)

All to Jesus I surrender, Lord, I give myself to Thee;
Fill me with Thy love and power, Let Thy blessing fall on me. (refrain)

All to Jesus I surrender, Now I feel the sacred flame;
Oh, the joy of full salvation! Glory, glory, to His Name! (refrain)

Evening Service – I chose the hymn “Bless His Holy Name” by Andrae Crouch ( (C) 1973 Bud John Songs) which is #151 in the Baptist Hymnal ( (C) 2008 LifeWay Worship). I chose this song for its simplicity in both this music and the lyrics. Sometimes, we just need to simplify our lives and even our worship and focus on what matters most…Jesus!

Here are the lyrics:

(Chorus)
Bless the Lord, O my soul
And all that is within me
Bless His holy name

(Verse)
He has done great things
He has done great things
He has done great thing
Bless His holy name
